Announcing Where Birds Go to Sleep
In development by Quiet Little Feet, Where Birds Go to Sleep is an emotional narrative-driven adventure set in a fictional Near East-inspired land, brought to life in a painterly artstyle, with voice-acted dialogue and original score. Become the whisper in the subconscious of a sadistic criminal, on a gruelling church mission to chart new lands shrouded in a mind-altering fog. Contemplate on your actions; fail to justify them and you might find the protagonist not heeding your commands. Regret or rejoice, grieve or laugh together… or independently of each other. There will be consequences.

Go back home. Watch some sports on TV. Go to sleep. Repeat. Clicking the same keys on the same keyboard, sitting on the same desk, talking to the same people.” So…

In the Keeper’s Shadow illuminated by first details
As developers begin to fully understand the emotional power of video games, more and more are choosing to embrace the interactive medium as a vehicle for telling personal, dramatic stories. The latest such studio to do so is Lonely Egg, whose upcoming point-and-click adventure In the Keeper’s Shadowrepresents “a fantastical retelling of co-founder Jessica Fong’s visionary world and her portfolio of over 10 years of work expressing her family’s struggle to confront their history with child abuse.” Story details are sparse so far, but the game stars a “young, inquisitive girl” named Emi, who in “seeking to be noticed and heard” undertakes a journey to “unearth secrets amidst the crumbling,…
